The Dynaudio EMIT 20, the big sister of the EMIT 10, is a high-performance two-way bookshelf speaker. This model is ideal for medium-sized rooms. They are equipped with an 18cm MSP (Magnesium Silicate polymer) woofer/midrange driver to fill larger spaces and a 28mm Cerotar tweeter. In terms of performance, they are capable of reproducing a powerful, rich, dynamic and accurate sound. The EMIT 20 is the result of Dynaudio's expertise and is one of the best speakers in its class on the market. This pair of speakers offers superb performance, whether in Hi-Fi or home theater configuration. They can be combined with a subwoofer for even more depth.
The EMIT 20 is equipped with a dual magnet MSP driver for bass and midrange. This feature gives it a greater control of movement and higher sensitivity. The diaphragm is glued directly to the cone, which allows a very precise and smooth control.
Thus, the MSP speaker of the Dynaudio EMIT 20 brings a wide frequency response (42Hz - 35Khz) while ensuring a beautiful clarity on the mediums, the whole without distortion even at high volume.
The Cerotar tweeter of the EMIT 20, like that of the EMIT 10, has a diameter of 28mm, a diameter larger than that of the usual tweeters. This soft dome unit is made of fabric and a DSP (Dynaudio Secret Recipe) coating. It allows a detailed and powerful reproduction of the treble without generating auditory fatigue during long listening sessions. Moreover, the presence of the Hexis system optimizing the air flow allows to keep a pure sound by limiting the distortions and the undesirable resonances while offering a more detailed sound.
Dynaudio has chosen to use two separate circuits to reproduce the incoming sound signal. A first order filter for the high frequencies and a second order filter for the bass and midrange. This drastically improves the performance of the EMIT 20 in terms of sound reproduction. In addition, this feature allows you to combine the EMIT 20 with other models in the range while maintaining optimal tonal consistency.
On their rear side, the Dynaudio EMIT 20 have a screw terminal allowing the speakers to receive 4mm banana plugs, forks or stripped cables of strong section.
These Dynaudio speakers benefit from a Bass-Reflex system with a double flared port. The chassis of the speakers is made of 18mm thick MDF. Magnetic grills are provided to protect the speakers. Numerous internal reinforcements are also present inside the chassis as well as a damping coating to eliminate interference and vibrations.
