The Dynaudio EMIT 50, the big sister of the EMIT 30, is a high-end 3-way floorstanding speaker with a perfect audiophile tuning and technology. This model is ideal for medium to large rooms. They are equipped with three MSP (Magnesium Silicate polymer) drivers. Two 18cm woofers and one 15cm midrange to fill large spaces. In addition, a Cerotar tweeter of 28mm specific to the brand takes care of the treble. These speakers are thus able to reproduce a powerful, rich, dynamic and transparent sound. This pair of speakers offers high-end performance in both Hi-Fi and home theater configurations. Whether used as a stand-alone stereo pair or in a 5.1-channel (or higher) home theater configuration, its performance and power will impress you.
The EMIT 50 is equipped with not one but two dual-magnet MSP woofers for bass. The dual magnet MSP material gives it greater control of movement and higher sensitivity. The diaphragm is bonded directly to the voice coil for smooth, precise control. The result is a strong power handling and deep, clean bass that allows for low frequency reproduction up to 28Hz.
The EMIT 50 is equipped with a dual magnet MSP driver exclusively dedicated to the midrange. Its design is similar to the woofers also present on the speaker and provides the same precise and fluid control of the midrange.
In short, the MSP speakers of the Dynaudio EMIT 50 provide a wide frequency response (28Hz - 35Khz) while maintaining a nice clarity on the midrange, all without distortion even at high volume.
The Cerotar tweeter of the EMIT 50, like the EMIT 30, has a diameter of 28mm. This soft dome model is made of fabric and a DSP (Dynaudio Secret Recipe) coating. This speaker allows a detailed and powerful reproduction of high frequencies without generating hearing fatigue during long listening sessions. In addition, the presence of the Hexis system optimizing the air flow allows to maintain a pure sound by limiting the distortions and the undesirable resonances while giving more details to the sound.
Dynaudio has chosen to use three distinct circuits to retranscribe the incoming sound signal. A first order crossover for the tweeter, a second order crossover for the midrange and a fourth order crossover for the woofers. This greatly improves the performance of the EMIT 50 in terms of sound quality. In addition, this feature allows you to combine this model with other speakers in the range while maintaining optimal tonal coherence. The crossover frequencies are located at 540Hz and 4400Hz.
On their rear face, the Dynaudio EMIT 50 have a screw terminal allowing the speakers to receive 4mm banana plugs, forks or stripped cables of strong section.
These Dynaudio speakers benefit from a Bass-Reflex system with two double flared vents. The chassis of these speakers is made of 18mm thick MDF. Each speaker comes with a magnetic grille to protect the drivers. Numerous internal reinforcements are also present inside the chassis, as well as a damping coating to eliminate interference and vibrations.
