Balanced DAC Headphone Amplifier THX AAA AK4462 XMOS XUF208 32bit 768kHz DSD512
FiiO's Q3 is a high-performance, portable balanced headphone amplifier and DAC combo. Featuring a meticulous design using high-end components, it offers excellent performance for high-flying sound reproduction.
The amplifier stage of the Q3 uses a THX AAA-28 chip with special technology to achieve a very low level of distortion for high power, while maintaining a neutral and pure sound.
The digital/analog conversion stage is entrusted to a DAC AKM AK4462 chip, integrating the proprietary Velvet Sound technology. This chip supports high sample rates up to 32bit 768kHz PCM and up to native DSD512. You will be able to enjoy your high-resolution files and the finest details of your favorite songs.
An XMOS XUF208 chip provides the Q3 with high-quality USB audio signal reception, while also supporting high-resolution file support, so you can take full advantage of the Q3's DAC performance.
In the continuity of the other models already proposed by FiiO, the Q3 takes up the design, sober and elegant thanks to soft curves. The case is made of Aluminum and is particularly robust.
The Q3 is equipped with a complete set of connectors, with the output of the 3.5mm asymmetrical jack and the 2.5mm / 4.4mm symmetrical jack. It will therefore allow you to connect all types of helmets.
The RGB LED indicator on the volume knob changes color to quickly identify the sample rate of the file being played back.
Output priority: Jack 4.4mm balanced = Jack 2.5mm balanced > Jack 3.5mm unbalanced. If the balanced 4.4mm jack and the unbalanced 2.5mm jack are connected simultaneously, no output will be available.
The Q3 adapts to all situations and all types of listening. For example, the Bass Boost function can be turned on or off with a switch. For this feature, a hardware circuit increases the gain by 6dB in the low frequencies, without affecting the mid and high frequencies.
In addition, for more convenient use, a multi-function button allows you to quickly select a gain level or filter.
Using an analog volume control, the Q3 provides precise volume level adjustment. An ADC reconstruction curve is also used to overcome the typical problems associated with analog controls.
Taking advantage of a 1800mAh battery, the FiiO Q3 ensures an important autonomy of at least 10 hours, or more in USB decoding mode.
The Q3 with its Aluminum housing and Copper-Nickel shielding effectively repels RFI interference that could degrade signal quality.
