The DC04 from iBasso is an affordable and high-performance portable DAC and balanced headphone amplifier combo. Ideal for enjoying high quality sound reproduction with your smartphone or computer, the DC04 is equipped with a pair of DAC CS43131 chips ensuring a THD+N of 0.00032% (@ 300Ω), an SNR of 133dB and a background noise of only 0.9µV. It is also capable of developing a power of 2x 192mW (@ 32Ω). This integration also allows it to support high resolution files up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256 Native.
The DC04 has a balanced 4.4mm jack output connector. This output contributes to the sound quality of the DC04.
Supplied with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, the DC04 can also be used with a computer as a high-end sound card.
A smartphone usually uses a software volume control with 10 levels, which does not allow for precise volume adjustment. The DC04 offers an output level of 4Vrms. The volume control is done via a proprietary application supporting UAC 2.0 offering 64 levels for precise hardware adjustment.
