A fully balanced amplifier

Designed for a  sound reproduction of surgical precision, the A1 Audio-GD is a fully balanced power amplifier. From the analog inputs to the output terminals, the signal is continuously protected from environment-related noise and interferences.

Double power supply stage

Each channel has its own power stage with high precision torrique transformer.

This configuration benefits the purity of sound at all levels, whether the separation of the channels (in particular with an extremely low  channel imbalance of 0.01dB), soundstage depth or simply neutrality the whole final restitution.

In addition to this feature, the A1 power is also remarkable for its strength and robustness. Theses power stages are indeed built from components designed to withstand very high power (WIMA capacitors & Nover, Resistors KOA ...). The total capacitance of the device thus amounts to 80,000 UF (ie 40,000 uF per channel).

These elements allow the amplifier to operate under contained constraints, ensuring not only great finesse and fine accuracy in restitution, but also an exceptional compatibility with different types of loudspeakers available on the market.

XLR & ACSS input stage

The A1 has a balanced XLR input for use with very advanced preamps while preserving the qualities of all the previous elements of the chain.

It is also equipped with a ACSS input, Audio-GD proprietary technology based solely on discrete components in a non-feedback design. The principle works through a stage current gain rather than the usual voltage gain. This significantly reduce the steps needed to complete the amplification, which significantly reduces alterations of the signal.

With the ACSS technology, A1 provides its exceptional purity, with a coloring of minimum sound and high linearity of the signal. This will especially preserve the dynamic without removing the natural look of her, avoiding rendered too bright and aggressive.

A precise output stage

A1 amplifier stage consists of two blocks each made from four transistors. Each transistor is designed to suport up to 150 Watts and 15 Amps. All transistors are balanced and operate in class A mode.

The cross diamond design plays an important role in the non-feedback system at the outputs of the amplifier, which further increases the accuracy of the signal.
