The Audiophonics HPA-Q250NC is a four-way amplifier based on two Hypex NCORE NC252MP amplification module. This solution is ideal for audio installations requiring high power reserve and with advanced home cinema capabilities as well. The set offers high level sound reproduction to suit demanding speakers and to sonorize large listenning rooms or for studio applications requiring deep headroom without compromising on accuracy and audio message richness.

The set of components is integrated into a 100% Aluminum sober and robust housing with heatsinks to allow excellent heat dissipation. Its design also allows it to limit the impact of interference on the signal.

2x Hypex NCORE NC252MP amplifier module

Each channel of the amplifier circuit uses its very own Hypex NCORE NC252MP amplifier module. These high-performance class D amplifier circuits each provide a very comfortable power of 2x150W under 8Ω while benefitting from high efficiency typical in Class D amplifiers.

Its main characteristics are its flat frequency response regardless of the load impedance, its almost frequency-independent level of distortion and its ability to reject EMI interference. Its works with a self-oscillating loop controlled by phase shift only taking feedback at the speaker output into account.

2x Integrated SMPS Power Supply

Each of the two modules NC252MP NCORE has its own power stage. The latter consists of a switching power supply (SMPS) half-bridge controlled with synchronous rectification on the primary output rails. Compact, powerful and efficient, this power supply has been specifically designed to suit this amplifier circuit.

In addition, to offer complete compatibility with the voltages delivered by the various electrical networks, the power supply is equipped with an automatic input voltage doubler. The NC252MP module also has an overload protection system.

Connectivity

The MPA-S250NC amplifier has 4 x 3-pole XLR input on Neutrik NC3FDLX-M3 sockets. The amplifier output is made on Elecaudio BP-207 24k gold-plated speaker terminals with carbon finish. They accept banana plugs or forks for quick and easy connections.

A 5-12V trigger connector in 3.5mm Jack format allows to control the automatic ignition of the amplifier when integrated in a compatible system. Finally, a bistable button allows the device to be switched on.
