Powerfull and reliable amplifier

The Audiophonics MPA-M250NC incorporates a Hypex Ncore NC250MP power amplifier module .

This is a solid base for building a high performance mono HiFi system, capable of delivering 1x250W at 4Ω.
On a single double-sided PCB it is composed of a low power supply for standby , a powerful switching power supply but especially a Class D amplification circuit extremely effective.

The amplifier used on this NC250MP module offers a high efficiency of 92% and allows it to be used for very different purposes, both for studio use and for integration into a high fidelity audio system .

The distinctive features of this amplifier are its linear frequency response regardless of the load impedance and therefore its faithful reproduction, its very low distortion but also its very low EMI radiation rate. Added to this is a professional-level signal-to-noise ratio (121dB).
The amplifier control is based on a self-oscillating phase-shift loop, taking into account the response only at the output the loudspeaker, always in an optical sound transparency.

The main SMPS power supply to the amplifier is a regulated, high power, high efficiency Half Bridge (Half Bridge) converter with synchronous rectification on the main output rails. An ideal power supply to provide this Class D amplifier with the power it needs.
To be compatible with & nbsp; 100-120V and 200-240V supply voltages, this one is equipped with a automatic input voltage doubler.

100% Aluminum casing

We integrate this amplifier Hypex NCore NC250MP in a housing 100% Black brushed aluminum.

This case offers an elegant finish, the thick walls give it a great resistance, allowing to protect as it must be the components.
The natural conduction of the aluminum, as well as a studied air flow, make it possible to dissipate the heat produced by the module.
Moreover, the housing is silkscreened on the facade with the logo NCore and back with the nomenclature of each port.

Its very compact format with a small width makes it possible to reduce the congestion to the maximum, thus offering high performances in a reduced space.

This amplifier is DC pass-through , there are no decoupling capacitors at the input.
Be sure that your source is DC free before use.
The DC protection triggers at 12V DC, which is a quite high value.

In addition to the usual connections, we will note on this rear face the presence of a trigger input. & nbsp;
This input in 3.5mm Jack format allows to turn on the module with a signal of a DC voltage of 5 to 12V to synchronize it with a preamp having this type of output.
It is also possible to chain 2 amplifiers, and to turn on both simultaneously while controlling only one, the input being transformed into an output if the power button of one of the amplifiers is activated.

There is also a diode on the front panel relaying the status of the module, & nbsp; lighting up & nbsp; if & nbsp; a DC voltage is detected at the output.
