We are proud to present the MPA-M400NC, a mono amplifier based on NC400 amplifier module with its SMPS600N400 dedicated power supply. This block constitutes an amplification solution having a formidable reserve power (up to 400W) while fully respecting the amplified signal. It is ideally suited for large listening rooms, or for studio applications requiring considerable headroom without compromising on precision intermediate volume.

The assembly is integrated in a 100% aluminum simple and robust housing with heat sinks. The latter has a simple design and excellent ability to block interference while effectively dissipating heat.

Amplification module NCORE NC400

The amplifying circuit operates a NC400 Hypex module. This class D module provides ample power while meeting high fidelity standard (power up to 400W THD 1% with a load 4Ω

The circuit is designed so that the signal flows only in a path in discrete component. This helps prevent the uptake of noise from the protection & control system controlled by an onboard microprocessor.

With its current capacity of 22A and its impedance in very low output (Typ: 0.6 / Max 2.5), this amplification module is ideal for amplification requesting high power without altering or compromising the audio precision.

Hypex SMPS600N400 Power Supply

The amplification module NC400 is powered by switching power supply module Hypex SMPS600N400. This model has been specially designed to get the best performance of the NC400 module. This switching power supply offers the advantage of reduced weight (300g) and a very low emission of EMI disturbances. A wide buffer stage composed of electrolytic capacitors ensures excellent responsiveness, ideal for developing the whole dynamic of the amplifier.

The circuit is further equipped with an advanced protection against overcharging. The latter can automatically moderate the output voltage in case of overload. This will delay the arrival of hoquètements - or even avoid them altogether if the overload is short.

Connectors

The MPA-M400NC has a 3-pole XLR input on a Neutrik NC3FAH2 plug and an RCA input, the selection of the source being done with a switch placed between the two inputs.

The mono output of the amplifier is on 24K gold-plated ELECAUDIO BP-209 speaker terminals. These accept conductors up to ⌀4.4mm and can work with bare wire, banana plugs as well as forks.

A bistable button allows the mono block to be powered up immediately. When used in a stereo configuration (one MPA-M400NC block per channel), this power button makes it easy to temporarily silence one of the two channels to adjust speaker positioning and work out time correction details.

Finally, the MPA-M400NC offers the 5-12V trigger function, via a 3.5mm jack. Thus, it will be possible to integrate it within a system and to automate the ignition of your devices when receiving a 5-12V signal.
