Project V1 is Furutech's ultimate high-end power cable. It is the culmination of more than 30 years of research by the brand into all aspects of electrical and signal transmission for high-end audio applications. The Project V1 features Furutech's groundbreaking technologies, patented designs and the highest quality materials, including:

• Special antistatic and antiresonance material NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula).
• Piezoelectric "active" materials for mechanical and electrical damping by "interconverting" resonance into thermal release.
• Alpha treatment (cryogenics and deep demagnetization of metal parts).
• Damping material based on carbon particles.
• Floating field damping mechanism diverting electrical potentials to ground.
• Single stranded OCC copper conductors with Alpha treatment.
• High purity ultra crystalline DUCC copper conductors with Alpha treatment.

The Project V1 power cable incorporates special connectors exclusive to this model: an IEC connector, a Schuko connector, and damping rings using Furutech's anti-static, anti-resonant NCF material combined with special, high quality nylon insulation. The bodies of these special connectors and damping rings are made of a four-layer NCF hybrid carbon fiber, finished with a clear, cured damping coating.

The contacts of the connectors are made of pure Alpha (α) treated non-magnetic Rhodium plated copper and fixed in insulated bodies with NCF material. The NCF material provides the purest electrical transmission without coloration, improving the depth and focus of the soundstage, harmonics and tonal balance. The low frequencies are better defined, with better definition thanks to a lower noise floor.

As for the conductors of the Project V1 cable, they are made of three distinct layers: the first is made of Silver-plated OCC Copper, the second and the last of ultra-high purity DUCC Copper, all materials taking advantage of the brand's Alpha (α) treatment. The high purity ultra crystallized DUCC Copper, supplied and regulated with strict quality control by Mistubishi Materials Industries, is one of the best conductors found by Furutech for signal transmission. Mitsubishi processes this extremely pure oxygen-free copper with a new technology that optimally aligns the crystals to achieve a highly efficient conductor. Furutech combines DUCC with its famous α-OCC Copper and processes this combination with the Alpha (α) cryogenic and demagnetization process to significantly advance purity and conductivity.

The cable sheaths have been designed to limit resonance and the impact of mechanical stress, while maintaining a certain flexibility. They are made of high-end damping polypropylene and hard cross-woven fiber (0.02mm soft polypropylene / 0.25mm hard polypropylene).
