This filter is designed to apply high attenuation on CENELEC-A EN50065 frequency bands that suffer from noise generated by household smart meters (starting with the recently introduced Linky meters in french households).

These new generations of smart meters are accompanied by wide parasites on 63.4kHz and 74kHz frequencies.

They are the result of the way smart meters operate : via powerline communication (PLC). Nevertheless, this unwanted signal is not filtered by the meter and is thus recceived by your whole domestic power line. This can bring considerable flaws in your audio equipment performances.

EMIKON filter sectors are exactly designed for this type of scenario. They filter the electricity network between the meter and your home installation, which relieves your most sensitive electrical devices, starting with your audio system.

Selective filter

CPL filters EMIKON does not affect in any way the operation of smart meters from the electric prodivder point of view. All functions continue their normal course and this filter can not be used to prevent the Linky meters to collect information about the details of your power consumption.

A CPL filter EMIKON merely alleviate (make less audible)  frequencies that the counters use to communicate within your domestic power grid.  This process has no effect on the meter which uses these frequency bands to communicate outside of your network.
