The miniDC is a small card that allows a perfect integration of the system on / off your DSP system and amplifiers.
Based on a converter and a DC-DC isolated circuit, it allows to have an ignition sequence in the correct order.
This is especially recommended for audio applications to allow complete isolation of alternator noise.
It is compatible with all miniDSP products with the exception of 2x8 and 8x8 units.

The diagram below shows the synchronization between Vin, Vout, REM In and REM Out.
When the input (REM) is in high mode (higher 5V), the device immediately isolates le 12V (no delay).
Remote output (REM OUT) is delayed for 3 seconds to allow the DSP to turn on before the amplifier.
When remote input (REM in) is low, the remote output immediately goes low to first turn off the amplifier.
The 12V isolated output is delayed to turn off the DSP last.
