Trigger 12V Power / IEC
This accessory, made in France, in our workshops, makes it easy to add an automatic on/off function (trigger) to devices that do not have this as a native function.
The principle of operation is simple: the housing has an IEC (sector) Input and output . By default, no current flows between the two connectors.
A second input on 3.5mm jack is located on the side of the device. When this input is fed by a 12V DC, it closes the circuit between the IEC input and output, which allows current to pass.
This type of accessory can be used in a variety of fields. In the case of an audio system, it is especially convenient to turn on several devices simultaneously: A master device equipped with a trigger output connected to the 12v trigger may thus control the activation of other remote devices. The same goes for the shutdown.
If your HiFi or Home Cinema set incorporates a 12V trigger output (HC preamplifier, Blu-ray high-end player) connect product on your amplifier input and drive it from the master device to trigger on elements that are connected to it.

Does the job
Works as supposed - simple and easy to use as atrigger device. There are a couple of setbacks, though - the device is quite bulky and needs a lot of space around it so be prepared to buy a IEC13-IEC14 male-femaleextension cord. Another con is the tolerances of the connectors - the plug side is tiny bit too small and tends to wobble when plugged in and the connection does not feel as secure as it should. Same goes with the input side which is a bit too loose.

Bien pratiques !!!
Utilisé entre ampli un Marantz SR8015 qui possède 2 sorties trigger et 2 amplis Nuprime STA9 n'en ayant pas, ces petits boitiers qui sont équipés de prises 12v font le boulot et alimentent mes nuprimes à la mise sous tension ou arrêt du Marantz, il a fallut créer 2 petites rallonges car les boitiers branchés sur les nuprimes sont en position verticale avec la prise 12v dirigée vers le bas et vue la faible hauteur des nuprimes cela posait problème d’où la petite rallonge entre ampli et boitier.
