GLA-XLR Balanced volume control module
Balanced volume control module with Encoder / Display / Remote control
This GLA-XLR volume control module is composed of an encoder, a display and a remote control. This module incorporates a low-distortion chip (0.0003%) and adopts the resistive voltage division method just like a conventional potentiometer. Its maximum output level is 4.2Vrms. Sound level management operates over a wide range from -97dB to 0dB on a potentiometer with volume memory function. The display shows values from 0 to 95, with one step representing 1dB.
Note that this product can be used with both unbalanced and balanced signals. When used with unbalanced signals, it supports 4-channel volume control. When used with a balanced signal, it supports 2-channel volume control, and the NJW1195A chip switches to balanced mode with ultra-low distortion and low noise.
The module's supply voltage is +/-12V. DC. This module is ideal for any DIY project requiring volume control.
GLA-XLR volume control module components
Encoder
The encoder features a potentiometer, resistors and an NJW1195A chip. The NJW95A is a low-noise, low-distortion 2-channel volume control chip. A 78M05 voltage regulator and STCW204S microcontroller are also integrated.
Display
On the display side, there's of course an LED screen, but also an indication LED with IR receiver. All this is supported by a 16-channel JXI5020 LED microcontroller.
Remote control
A small infrared remote control allows you to control the sound level and "MUTE" function from a distance. Very practical, it eliminates the need to move around and systematically use the potentiometer to access the different levels of the volume control range.
