Balanced Passive Preamplifier Motorized Khozmo Attenuator with Takman Rex Resistors
Hattor Audio presents us here with a high-end balanced passive preamplifier offering incredible performance thanks to an equally exceptional design. Each point of this preamplifier is designed and cared for to satisfy the most audiophiles, all meticulously assembled by hand. From the components chosen to the design, nothing is left to chance to satisfy all requirements.
Exceptional passive design
This balanced preamplifier is so powerful because it is based on discrete components. Indeed, there are two high-end mono-passive volume attenuators from Khozmo. Identical, they are based on excellent Takman Rex resistors and offer incredible precision in settings (64 steps of 1dB) as well as an undeniable sound purity. Totally separated and covered with machined Aluminium shielding, the two attenuators guarantee extremely low crosstalk. All this is wired with Silver wire to ensure maximum conductivity.
Takman Rex Resistors
The volume attenuators of this Hattor Audio preamplifier use Takman REX high-end resistors specially developed for audio. The base materials are ceramic and high-purity carbon. The capsule is made of Copper/Tin plated brass and the lead wire is OFC Copper. The choice of non-magnetic materials was carefully made by Takman.
Generous connectivity
While the performance of this Hattor Audio as a passive preamplifier impresses, it is also a very good source selector, with provided connectivity. There are 2 RCA Stereo inputs, 3 XLR 3-pole inputs and 2 RCA stereo and 2 XLR 3-pole outputs on the output side. Each connector is of American CMC origin and is 24K gold plated with PTFE insulation to ensure very good conductivity and limit possible interference.
A design that doesn't leave unmoved
This Hattor Audio preamplifier / source selector also stands out for its assertive design. The components are integrated in a solid Aluminium housing with the most beautiful effect and great robustness. First of all, of course, we notice this magnificent black facade with a brilliant carbon effect, with a chrome frame and buttons. This front panel is covered with a large LED display, which indicates the volume of each channel and the active source.
Remotely controllable preamplifier
For greater ease of use, Hattor offers a system that can be controlled remotely via a supplied remote control. Indeed, since the attenuators are motorized, it becomes possible to adjust the volume from your sofa. Concerning the volume, it is possible to adjust independently the sound level of the right and left channels or to couple them for a global adjustment. The remote control will also allow you to select a source or switch to mute mode.
