Balanced Preamplifier - Headphone Amplifier
The SMSL VMV P2 is a high-performance preamplifier - desktop headphone amplifier, capable of delivering high power and extremely accurate sound reproduction. It is based on a carefully designed balanced architecture, enabling it to deliver 2x6W at 32 Ohm or 2x350mW at 600 Ohm. The whole unit is housed in a magnificent aluminum chassis, as robust as it is stylish.
Selectable gain
The rear of the SMSL VMV P2 displays three selectors. The first selects the input, the second the output, and the third adjusts the gain level. The latter switch has three positions. Adjusting the gain makes the amplifier particularly versatile, enabling it to adapt to both high-impedance headphones and high-sensitivity earphones.
Balanced architecture & High-end components
The SMSL VMV P2 benefits from a totally balanced architecture with an ultra-low distortion 4-way PLFC circuit. No less than 99 low-noise OPAs are integrated in a parallel design. The specially designed volume potentiometer greatly reduces crosstalk. The whole system is powered by a high-efficiency, low-noise power supply, providing a clean electrical signal to all circuits.
