In the heart of Sparkos Aries
The main audio circuit of the Aries is on the right side of the unit and consists mainly of two pairs of SS2590 discrete PDOs developed by the brand. The latter constitute the input and output stages, between which the impressive switched relay attenuator is revealed. No capacitors are used on the audio signal circuit and DC potential differences are managed by a DC servo.
The Aries power supply is regulated by a pair of discrete voltage regulators and the toroidal transformer is shielded with Mu Metal shielding to significantly reduce the magnetic field and humming. The AC input is universal and can operate with 120V and 240V. The signal is the ground of all inputs are switched with high quality latching relays. Switching the ground of the inputs (rather than simply connecting them together) will prevent ground loops from forming between the different connected devices.
The microcontroller that controls the attenuator and operates the screen will switch to standby mode when music is playing to further reduce potential noise.
