Good with moderate volume, after correction.
Bought 2 for simracing(under chair), but then I tried it with some music, and I use them for that since almost every day.

Does its job.
Bought it for BST-1 bass shakers, (simracing/music) but it was too weak for them, so I use it for smaller (15W) exciters now...

Doesn't fit together very well
No instructions and no spacers to mount the board also there's a bit of plastic in the kit which looks like it goes around the connections but I didn't know if it was supposed to go inside or outside so I left it off - not impressed

Compact goodness!
This small aluminium case is compact, well-machined and not distracting, the way a DAC should be.

However, the screws that came along the generic version of the KTB (also bought from here) don't fit between the case and the board. You can have it "hover" inside, the screw-rings of the RCA ports are sufficient enough to keep the board in place.

I like this product regardless, thanks Audiophonics for the lightning-fast delivery!

Great Case but no spacers
This is a great case. I'm not giving 5 stars because of the lack of spacers. Khadas original spacers are too long for this case and none is provided with the case. Even though spacers are not needed (the rings subjecting RCA connectors are more than enough), it is a pitty Audiophonics does not offer appropiate spacers as an option. Just spacers M2*5 mm female-female and 2 screws M2*5 mm (see review by Rainer E.) is all that is needed and would gladly pay 1€ for them. Please Audiophonics, provide the spacers or remove the holes in the case intended for them.

Great fit
Great case for my Khadas Tone Board. Looks solid with no sharp corners and metal dust. It helps with not getting shocked and having pauses in music when you accidentally move the Khadas Tone Board.

Good result!
I don't give 5 stars because you need to shave off the stands like around 1,5 mm. Also be sure to carefully think how you will tighten the thing up.

It takes just little patience but if you don't hurry the finalized box looks really good!

Nice case, fits well -- one little trick though
Make sure to tighten the long brass screws to the spacer underneath the board gradually as you go. Do not fully tighten the first one immediately or you may find that the second or third one will not line up and that the board may need to bend in order to fully secure the next spacers.

Similarly, do not immediately tighten the screws of the front and back plate; tighten them gradually in a cross pattern. Otherwise you may find that the USB input does not line up with the hole on the front plate and/or there will be unsightly gaps between the plates and the top and bottom pieces.

I found it helpful to rest the LED side of the case on a flat surface as I installed the front panel screws.

Khadas Tone Board with Aluminum Case
Ordering went astonishingly well. David from the Audiophonics was more than helpful in providing all the required details about technical aspects of mounting the Khadas Tone Board in the aluminum case. It was actually easy to assemble it. I felt like engineer afterwards. The Khadas Tone Board itself works amazing. Yet again the last DAC I had was Asus Xonar DG and I can only compare it to that and what I can say for certain is that the sound from the inside the PC is no more. Khadas keeps it clean and maintains highest quality. Its really a no-brainer and best you sound card (DAC) you can buy for this money.

Almost perfect case for the Khadas Tone Board
The case gives the little DAC board the justification and the robustness to play along with your other HIFI components, thank you Audiophonics !
It would deserve 6 stars if you had added four very small aditional components: 2 spacers M2*5 mm female-female and 2 screws M2*5 mm. The issue is, that the distance of the board to the bottom plate with the three holes (according to the drillings in the front plate) is exactly 5 mm, and not 7 mm, which is the size of the original Khadas spacers ... It is enough to fix the two rear spacers, since the board is also fixed at the front plate via the 3 RCA sockets. And one small piece of paper with a drawing please! M2 spacers and screws are difficult to get, almost only via the internet and in a set of 270-300 parts which costs approximately another 10 Euro! Please Audiophonics, add above mentioned components (for additional 1-2 Euro) and make the life easier for everyone building the case. Because if you use the Khadas spacers you are going to bend the board and/or the front plate, which in long term is not ideal.
But then again: with this case you finally have product which does not have to fear any comparison ! Add 11827 Damping Feet 10x5mm (Set x4), and it is perfect.

Great Case!!
Great Case! Well without a Manual i had tu first figure out how to screw the Khadas Boord in this thing.

Well work, its Aluminium and anyone nagging about the finish quality.. "14,92 €" .. so i wont take it into my bed every night to snuggle with it ;) ...

its feeling solid, no sharp corners ans solid laquering and prints.. without this one you have this raw tone board wich super sucks!

so 5stars!!

Parfait
Assemblage en quelques minutes
Tout se met en place parfaitement avec un simple tournevis cruciforme et la carte tone-board est bien protégée.

C'est ce que j'attendais.
Rien à dire de plus.

Nice fit but back to front
This is the perfect size for the Khadas Tone Board but the pre drilled holes are back to front. Therefore, the labels printed on the box end up being at the opposite side of the connections. Not a big issue for me since the box is not going to be moved around a lot and with only 4 connections it easy to connect correctly when following the diagram in the manual. Also, one of the 3 pre drilled holes does not align with the fixing holes in the circuit board but to fixing screws seems to be fine such a light board. Otherwise, it is a good quality and sturdy little box that protects the tone board well.

Pretty good case
This is a decent case for khadas board. Parts fit together pretty well. The washers do their job to place the board and back plate in correct position but seem bit flimsy. Printing on the top of case is backwards, as one other reviewer stated.

Abysmal finish quality and the top half is the wrong way around
The finish of the aluminum is very bad and the writing on the top part is wrong way around.

Functionally great, one issue
Fits perfect and seems to protect from noise and all just well, only issue is my top and bottom panels were backwards. The groves wouldn't fit with the labels on the right side, so now the labels point to the front which is nothing. Does not detract from the functionally but is a bit disappointing (ordering from the US also so shipping is expensive) that cosmetically it looks strange.
