Very good hardware, sound really excellent - software NaJa not so good Wanted a small audio streamer with a display. I noticed this one and it looked very good. From a build point of view it is very good. All I wanted. Managed to get it up and running with Volumio - including the touch screen - very nice - sound very good. So I would have rated it with 5 stars for my purpose and use case if if was not for the software. I am not a developer or hacker and besides it is hard to key in command line commands when using the browser UI.
I will keep it but will have to look for a better software.
I tried to get software up and running, what a major pain in the a.. I managed to get Max2Play up and running but was unable to mount my Synology NAS. Just didn't want to mount... so I actually but unusable (for my scenario) hardware. I could play music from a USB stick Then tried out Volumio, where I managed to install the Raspberry 7" display driver. and voila on first try I was able to mount, I cannot see any difference in the commands between Max2Play and Volumio only that Volumio requires less information. With Max2Play I couldn't get Wireless up and running. With Volumio I can only make it work with wireless. if I attach a ethernet cable I somehow get two entries for Volumio with two different IP adresses (but same MAC adress).

Message from Audiophonics service Hi, Please give a try to Picoreplayer. It's by far the greatest software solution for this device : http://forum.audiophonics.fr/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1756 Best regards
