Great DAC with great features :-)
I received my Topping DX7 Pro a few days ago and could immediately hear more details than with my former mobile Fiio BTR5 DAC (which is great in itself). Initially, the sound is a little bit flat and somewhat unexciting, but I suspect the onboard op-amps need to be burned in for a few hundred hours before the DAC reveals itself fully. Also, I am thinking of replacing the stock op-amps with two Burson V6 Vivid op-amps as dozens of reviews on the internet suggest that this is the right thing to do. I especially like that this DAC is intuitive and logical. For instance, there's separate volumes for headphones and loudspeakers, and the DAC remembers your settings even after having been turned off.

J'ai passé la soirée à les comparer brancher à mon PC en USB.

L'Audui G a plus de peps, plus de dynamisme. Alors que le Topping est beaucoup plus neutre. Pour ce qui est des graves, aigue, médium c'est délicat de juger. La différence est pas difficile à Percevoir pour moi.

Mais le Topping à la sortie symétrique. Et là, ça fait la différence. On retrouve une bonne pêche et le dynamisme manquant.

J'ai branché le câble officiel Meze symétrique en 4.4.

Mais alors pourquoi pas toutes les étoiles ? La télécommande n'est vraiment pas pratique. Faut être pile en face pour changer les sources etc et elle fait pas solide du tout.

Surtout que impossible de changer via l'ampli lui même.

Branché sur mon node2i , la qualité est montée d'un bon cran .
Je l'ai acheté à l'aveugle sur la base des données d'Audio science review et je ne suis vraiment pas déçu .

Dac TOPPING DX7 PRO
Bonjour les amis audiophiles, je viens tout juste de déballer le TOPPING DX7 PRO, reçu en 2 jours, paramétré en DAC pur, pour écouter ma musique stockée sur QOBUZ (soit en USB ou en BLUETOOH sur mon smartphone, en se servant de la télécommande). D'entrée, très bonne surprise, sur le plan musicale, beaucoup de présence sur l'ensemble du spectre, l'équilibre tonal très bien respecté, je ressens déjà la supériorité sur mon ancien dac le Dangerous Source, coûtant le double! Le temps va permettre au TOPPING DX7 PRO, de libérer tout son potentiel, la HI-FI c'est comme le bon vin, plus il vieilli, meilleur il est!!!
Merci à l'équipe d'AUDIOPHONICS, site que je recommande encore une fois sans problème, ainsi que ce fameux TOPPING DX7 PRO!

Très bon dac
Je suis satisfait du résultat et donc de l'association avec mes JMR bliss.
Le son est très propre et précis. Les basses sont également très bonnes.
Je l'utilise principalement en usb mais je le trouve aussi très bon en bluetooth (En partant du principe qu'il y a une compression). En effet le son garde sa clarté ce qui est très appréciable sur ce mode (tv connecté dans ce mode). Curieusement je le trouve moins clair et précis sur l'optique (console connecté).
Dans l'ensemble je suis donc très satisfait et quelle présence quand le son sort des enceintes !

Dac externe.
Achat à l'aveugle. J'ai fait confiance aux caractéristiques de ce modèle. Alors oui c'est risqué. Mais ma recherche était d'avoir un Dac très récent avec indicateur de niveau et l'indication de l'échantillonnage à placer entre un lecteur Node 2 et un préamplificateur Hifi.
je ne suis pas déçu de cet achat.

Very happy with the quality and features of the DAC/amp
The unit feels solid and it has rubber feet so it won't be "dragged" by heavy cables. I use mine connected to my computer via USB and Chromecast Audio via optical. Sometimes I use my phone over bluetooh, but I can cast music to he GCA instead of that usually. On the outputs I have my stereo amp connected to the XLR outputs and my HD600 connected to the 1/4" connector in the front.

Not about the remote; the included remote is made of plastic and says "TOPPING RC-15A" on the bottom. It is slightly longer than, but with the same button layout as, the aluminium Topping remote sold on this site.

You can not use the remote as much of an angle. I have not tested how far the remote works, but it seems to be fine if you use it "normally" and not at an angle like I have it placed (my room is small and combines desktop for computer, a stereo and bedroom).

There are several output modes to choose from. I only used the remote and not the volume wheel to select modes.
To choose headphones out you press the "headphone" icon. To choose the outputs on the back you press "Line Out". There are three combinations for output on the back; XLR, RCA or XLR+RCA. To cycle trough them you press "Line Out" to get the desired option. To combine headphones and output on the back you press the middle button with no icon.

For each of the modes you choose (headphones, output in the back or headphones + output in the back) there are separate volumes. I have the headphones set to a comfortable volume, but my XLR only output is set to 0.0 as my stereo amp has it's own volume control. Having separate volume for each mode is amazing and it makes it seamless to switch between them all.

All in all I am very happy with the product. I also want to say I am very happy with Audiophonics. It is the first time I bought from them. I had a question about VAT before I made my order, and the response was fast and clear. When I made the order it did not take long for the order to be processed and the day after it was shipped. The shipping time was very long (a little over a month), but I blame the Norwegian postal service and not Audiophonics or the France postal service. The package tracking said it was sent from France the 30th of April, and it was not registered in Norway until 28th of May. I am sure they have kept it in the backlog in customs for all that time.

Excellent heart of a system
The DX7 Pro combined my speakers and headphones with my PC (toslink), laptop (usb), TV ( added a toslink to coax adapter and then coax on DX7Pro) and phone (BT) effortlessly. The build quality and sound quality are amazing! Such a complete little device. The headphone amp section is driving my HD650 with a bit more volume to spare, it's less powerful than some amps but it gets loud enough. XLR out for my speakers is whisper quiet unlike my past sources RCA.

Does what it says on the box
Bought this for the 4.4m balanced connector and it is proven to be a perfect amp for my HD 660s. It is clean, the software works nicely and it has tons of other functionality which is easy to access. I am so happy with my choice.

2 mois d'attente covid-19 oblige mais ....
Je partais d’un DAC Audiophonics ES9038 (non pro) couplé à un Raspberry pi et une alimentation Audiophonics linéaire et moins-bruitée. Précédemment, j’avais un DAC HIFI à plus de 2000 Euros HTVA.
L’installation est simplissime.
Mon Setup :
- hôte fichiers Synology (FLAC 16 et 24bits)
- Ampli Rega Elicit-R (RCA - analogique)

Après avoir relié le Topping DX7 Pro en usb à mon NAS Synology, la première bonne surprise (attendue) est que le DAC est reconnu comme périphérique audio ALSA.
Mon UI pour la musique dématérialisée est ROON. ROON Server est installé sur le Synology.
J’utilise un client Android de Roon sur mon smartphone. Le Topping DX7 Pro est reconnu comme périphérique audio ALSA par Roon.

L’écoute est opérationnelle dans les 5 min. Pas besoin de manuel.
Après plus de 20 heures d’écoute voici ma perception.

En mode USB, le DAC ne permet aucun écart par rapport à qualité des sources. Les MP3, même en 320Kbps ne permettent pas un rendu tel qu’en FLAC 16 avec un bon master.
Le changement le plus significatif par rapport à mon Setup précédent est lorsque l’on attaque des FLAC 24bits particulièrement bien enregistrés (Radiohead - A moon shaped Pool, ou Max Richter - Vivalvi Recomposed, …). Le sentiment de se trouver avec les musiciens dans la même pièce est impressionnant.
Le son est très tendu, très spacial. J’ai des Bowers et Wilkins et je les redécouvre dans les médiums pour ces albums que je connais par coeur.
Le dernier album de Hildegunn Oiseth - Manama est une splendeur en 24bits (Qobuz) tant les instruments sont clairement dissociés grâce à la précision et au timing du DAC. Une splendeur.

En optique, via mon lecteur CD NAD, sachant que la DAC du NAD n’est pas mauvais et déjà en 24Bits, le changement n’est pas clair.

En Bluetooth, reconnaissance facile depuis mon smartphone Android, et belle musicalité depuis Spotify en LDAC. La qualité est largement supérieure qu’en attaquant des mp3 en USB. Pas de latence notable.

Bref, en quelques mots, je suis difficile, exigeant et là j’en ai clairement pour mon argent.
Je fais des salons de HIFI de temps en temps, et je pense que ce niveau de performance sonore, si bien maitrisé avec le reste de votre chaine audio, vous apportera un rendement équivalent à du très haut niveau en HIFI (Esoteric, …).
A ne pas sous-estimer : la qualité de votre câble USB
Un de mes prochains achats sera probablement un pass-through USB anti-jitter et bruit … chez Audiophonics.
