Excellent - will beat many desktop amplifiers
Very impressed with this portable headphone amplifier which will easily beat many desktop amplifiers for sound quality & power. It easily drives my HiFiMan Sundara planar magnetics & Sennheiser HD600s. The sound quality is fractionally behind my Topping A90 desktop amplifier which is amazing given that it is portable. The battery life claims are totally realistic - I measured 20-hours listening at reasonable levels using my HD600s on medium-gain and just under 10-hours using my Sundaras on high-gain. If only it had an on-bord DAC, it would be a no-brainer. However, even using an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm cable and streaming Tidal from my iPhone, the sound is neutral (not boring), detailed, powerful and enjoyable. I consider this to be a bargain and is highly recommended. If you need the on-board DAC, the Chord Mojo remains the one to beat - until Topping launch their own (NX7+on-board DAC).
