Utile pour qui souhaite, par exemple, connecter un téléviseur sans sortie optique mais avec une sortie SPDIF que l'on peut, grâce à ce petit boitier, relier à une barre de son avec entrée Toslink. Evite aussi de racheter une télé quand on en a une sans sortie optique mais qui fonctionne encore.
