Le couteau suisse SMSL !
Une connectique incroyable sur un si petit boîtier. Mais le plus surprenant est le coup de jeune qu'il donne à la lecture des fichiers audio extraits du pc vers mon convertisseur GUSTARD, via la liaison hdmi. Un must, à très petit prix !

Un excellent préampli, pour une écoute très naturelle.
GUSTARD surprend encore avec ce produit de haute volée pour un prix raisonnable. Cerise sur le gâteau, l'utilisation de ce bijou est extrèment conviviale : gain adaptable, volume télécommandé et ajusté par relais au cliqueti bien sympathique! Avec une sureté de fonctionnement qui impose le respect. Merci à Audiophonics, qui propose des produits de haut niveau, mais encore abordables, et qu'on ne trouve, nulle part ailleurs.

Comme il n'y a pas encore d'avis j'imagine que ça vaut le coup que je laisse le mien :

Petite remarque/avertissement tout de même : attention si vos casques sont imposants/volumineux verticalement, notamment lorsque vous voulez les laisser branchés. En effet, sur un Sennheiser HD comme le mien, arceaux dépliés, il risquerait d'y avoir une pression regrettable entre le câble du casque et la base du support en raison du faible écart entre les deux. J'ai contourné le problème en le disposant sur un rebord, mais selon l'endroit où vous souhaiteriez le mettre et la taille de votre casque, ça peut éventuellement poser problème; vérifiez les mesures.

Small warning though : beware if your headphones are big/verticaly voluminous. On some like my Sennheiser HD, there's a risk of cable compression against the base of the support if you leave it plugged as the support isn't quite high enough to leave much room for a cable set on the underside of the headphones. It's not an issue for me since I put it on an edge, but it might be for you, considering where you would like to install it and the size of your headphones, check the measurements

J'ai commané cette fiche dernièrement. Très robuste, matériau solide et mécanique de serrage excellente. Toutefois, le plan mis dans les caractéristiques du produits par Audiophonics sont complètement fausses. le diamètre de la partie ronde ne fait absolument pas 40mm. Du coup, ma plaque d'accueil payée fort chère est bonne pur la poubelle et il faut tout refaire. Merci Audiophonics !

Not for nervous people
Delivered from France to Italy in less than 24 hours (via UPS, with surcharge), it's a sturdy, beautifully built, very good sounding device, just like you expect from the pictures and the specs. But it’s a device for very patient people.
There is a quick start guide which gives you barely the essentials. In order to use the EM5 properly, much better off relying on the builder website.
Once turned on, and set the wi-fi connection, I immediately started an online software update… Which took at least 30 minutes. Then I need to factory reset the EM5, as per Shanling instructions. Again, few minutes. Then I had to understand the way the UI works, and it was not a matter of seconds, even for a reasonably skilled Hi-Fi user. Then I downloaded a couple of apps and started listening hi-res from Apple Music and Amazon. Cool!
But not enough. When I finally connected my HFM Sundara to the single ended output via the provided 6.35mm adaptor I could only listen just one channel very badly! Oh shit, I thought I had to resend back the Chinese box to Audiophonics!
But, before getting into the panic, I tried another 6.3 mm adaptor jack and I finally started listening. But this was at least one hour and a half after unboxing the device.
Wow! I was finally able to enjoy my music. Well, not exactly. I immediately realized that to properly move my 37 ohm Sundara, I needed to set at least high setting or, even better, turbo setting… Mmmmmh. Not enough power if you go single ended with a planar HP.
In the meantime, the glass top of the box was becoming crowded of fingerprints, my eyes were getting tired to read the micro characters on the small screen and I was starting to run off my patience.
However, after another half an hour I was finally able to connect my Samsung S22 to the device via the Eddict app and I started to discover how it is nice to command the EM5 remotely… As long as the app get stuck and you need to reboot it, or to reboout the device, or to reboot both… (And also the BT connection wasn’t a matter of seconds, wth several tries before getting it done)
It was late at night, when I decided to start over my relationship with the Shanling the day after.
The morning after, calmed down, I delicately turned on the device and… Something went wrong, as I could only listen at minimum volume and the power knob didn’t work. What’s the problem? Just reboot the device and start it over.
This time, I connected my HP via a 4.4 pentaconn jack balanced cable. I set the gain to high, I selected an hi resolution track on Apple Music and I started listening. I paid particular attention in using the Eddict app kindly and slowly, in order not to offend it because, as I said, it’s very susceptible.
Finally, the sound started to flow the way it was intended. Delicate, smooth, transparent, in a word, very hi-fi and I started to be happy of my purchase. The Shanling has an energetic sound signature that I could define slightly warm and relaxing, but not lazy at all. I liked especially the old-school AKM DAC chip implementation, which sounds cheerful and somehow refined, which makes the EM5 different and more ear friendly that the widely used ESS Sabre chips, which, to me, are too clinical and a bit cold sounding.
Ok. In order to make the long story short: the device is not bug free, the software still needs several improvements, the factory quality control should be extended to the accessories, the amp power is sufficient but you may need an external amp for high impedance difficult headphones, the look is gorgeus and, finally, the sound is nothing less than pure pleasure for music lovers.
And I love the Vu-meters option. But bear in mind that it only works when you play local files and you cannot get it if you play streaming or you are using the EM5 to decode and amp external digital sources.
It’s worth 850 bucks? I don’t know. But I like this staff a lot.

J’utilise depuis quelques années exclusivement du fil nu entre l’ampli et les enceintes. Le seul inconvénient de ces excellents borniers faible masse est qu’ils ne permettent pas facilement le serrage d’un câble nu au-delà de 2,5 mm2 car ils ne possèdent pas de trou central ! Pour palier à ce problème, j’ai fait une fourche au câble en divisant le multibrins en deux sur 2cm. Pas de soucis avec du monobrin, une boucle suffit.
J’ai donc retiré les gros (et jolis) borniers en laiton plaqués or d’origine et le moins que je puisse dire est que je n’ai pas été déçu de l’amélioration sonore!
Ces connecteurs faible masse sont simples mais bien construits et plus robustes qu’ils n’y parait. Vous ne vous ruinerez pas et vous pourriez bien être surpris du résultat.

Fist, the pre-sales discussion was speedy and very informative. Thank you David. Ordering and delivery was a very positive experience.
Second and most importantly, the amp just works beautifully. Where there is bass in the track, we have bass. I had not realised how much colouration my previous amps gave. If mine gets damaged, I will buy another.

Au delà du naturel des timbres, de l’ouverture et de la précision incroyable de la scène sonore, du respect de la dynamique, on retrouve la musique, pleine de la vie de ses interprètes, de l’intention artistique. Juste le plaisir d’écouter. Sans limite. A un prix tout à fait raisonnable. Bravo et merci à Holo Audio!

Clean and defined cable
After months of listening i can say that this cable fulfilled my expectations.Character of this cable is neutral but not analytical and cold,it's flowed and polite on high frequency range.Only when the recording is bad will it be felt, but never so much that it will bother you.Give it a good source and amplifier and it will show its quality in a positive way and put a smile on your face.Greetings from Croatia with one satisfied customer who enjoys every musical moment with this cable.

Excellents tubes
Testés depuis maintenant 3 semaines sur des blocs ATM211. Un peu froid au départ, maintenant vraiment très biens, fluides et détaillés!! Reste plus qu'à voir sur la durée ....

An amazing DAC with a truly sense of presence and naturalness!
Nowadays DACs play an import role in a system, as the new formats like HD PCM, DSD, MQA and streaming services become available. While every other component can stay steady, the DACs are quickly evolving. For a couple of years, almost 15, I’ve have been keeping the Krell CD player, the Krell amplifier, the B&W floor stand speakers, the Rega turntable and Vincent phono preamp, only replacing the music player (streamer) and the DAC. So, I had some DACs from Cambridge Audio, NuForce/NuPrime, Gustard (X16) and Mytek. All different and each with their strengths and weaknesses. With R26 I’ve found a very nice balance for sound stage, detail, transparency, and pace, but the biggest difference is a truly sense of presence and naturalness which is amazing (the stage sound is so large that you may have to rotate speakers in to the listener position to have a better center image for voice). Using a music streamer based on Rasperry Pi 4 connect via USB 2.0 port, everything works fine too (current R26 firmware version is 1.4), without any issues (from Spotify, TIDAL, Youtube and local music database based on a NAS). The built-in streamer works very well, decoding all formats easily. Tried 2 configurations: 1st With Roon installed on a Synology DS220+ NAS (Intel CPU required) with a local library of music files and everything worked fine too. 2nd using R26 used as a UPnP renderer via mconnect Player Lite, but some improvement is required for this as, occasionally, the first time a DSD file is loaded from the NAS (using DLNA), there are some halts (these files are huge in size). Had 2nd thoughts about the A26 model, also a very praised DAC by critical listeners and reviewers, but there is something in the high processed audio signals from Delta-sigma DACs that make long listening’s easy tiring. In summary R26 is very musical DAC giving great sense of realism, excelling in bringing the emotion of live recorded music. For listening the best results are obtained in Non-Oversampling mode (NOS ON). Last a praise to Audiophonics which sent the equipment fast and very well protect.

Je suis très très heureux de cet achat ! Enfin j’écoute toute la musique numérique avec un plaisir immense. Tout prend vie avec ampleur, force, details et dans une musicalité que je n’imaginais même pas. Moi qui voulais changer d’ampli…..en fait il fait super bien le job ! Il lui manquait le HOLO SPRING 3 ! Une vraie réussite technologique au service du plaisir musical

Très bon amplificateur. Je l’achète pour alimenter mes kenwood vintage de 75watts en 3 voies. Dommage quel alimentation réguler sois si cher. Ça serait l’idéal pour remplacer celui d’origine. Je recommande.

Neotech,great upgrade wire
Terrific wire,what i got with this wire when i changed internal wiring of my speaker is more transparency in a sense of better detail openess,stage is more holographic and separation of instruments are in general better then before.I used 1.3mm for a tweeter and combination of 1.3 and 0.8mm for bass unit plus same for connecting crossover to terminals.Thanks Audiophonics for having this wire in youre collection for us to find how simple things can change our hobby for the better.

Good but too expensive
I bought the module at Audiophonics, because I thought the same on Ebay is may be a cheap china fake. But it's the same module! At Audiophonics the Company Logo is removed from the product photos. But on the delivered module it is printed the same way as the one on Ebay/from China. On Audiophonics it is 100€ more than ebay... The sound is great and the manufacturing quality is good. So it's your choice how much you would like to pay. But I think on Audiophonics the price is too high. I am disappointed the the same module is round about 62% offered more expensive on Audiophonics.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix !
Câble couplé à des fiches bananes PANGEA Xtreme qui reçoivent parfaitement la section de 6mm2 ! Bien que l’écoute d’un câble soit très subjective et fortement dépendante du système sur lequel il est raccordé, je peux confirmer que les graves sont propres et bien tendus, les médiums sont fluides et le haut du spectre est précis et bien défini… Pas de son projeté ni agressif ! L’image stéréo est large, stable et précise ! Ce câble nécessite cependant une bonne cinquantaine d’heures de rodage pour se faire totalement oubliés… N’est-ce pas là au fond le but d’un câble ?! Se comporter comme s’il n’existait pas ?! Un très intéressant mariage ! PS : Pensez bien à raccorder les câbles avec les spires torsadées dans le même sens…

Presque parfait !
Excellentes fiches bananes à visser ou à souder ! Pas de souci avec les vis qui mêmes serrées très fortement ne cassent pas… Les pas de vis sont également très résistants ! Si ces fiches bananes étaient livrées avec de la gaine thermo rétractable, cela serait parfait ! De plus, le contact entre fiche banane et embase est parfait et très bien étudié ! À recommander à 100% !

LINDY CROMO LINE SPDIF
The cable works fine. Yes, the cable is very thin, but since the line is very short, the thickness of the conductor hardly plays a role. In any case, no audible difference to my multi-shielded cables that I usually use in my high-quality setup. For my purpose of use in a mobile system, I consider the high flexibility of the cable rather an advantage. The plugs also fit well without being too tight.

Loxjie A30
Ordered this little unit because I needed a new amplifier for speaker measurements. The ASR review showed perfect load independent linearity, and that was exactly what I needed for the purpose. In short, it all works as expected, the connections give me all the possibilities to input the measurement signals. And by the way, a short sound test via spdif convinced me so far. For a second sound system, or perhaps as a travel companion, the device is a great option. Small criticism: The device tilts a bit, because one foot is sunk deeper than the others. Since this is easy to fix and does not affect the function, I still give all stars as a rating.

SMSL SU9n
The SU9n was delivered a few days ago, and everything went well as usual when ordering from Audiophonics. The unit works flawlessly and I can now say after a few days that it plays very clear and transparent. I do not notice any euphonic or flowery tendencies, but a very neutral, detailed reproduction with very good spatiality and precision. This also in Bluetooth mode, which surprises me and makes me very happy. It also offers all the connections I need. My conclusion: Enormously high level at a very fair price. You have to dig much deeper into your pocket elsewhere than for SMSL. Splendid!

Une Merveille, Mais…
Ce Préampli-DAC-Ampli Casque est une pure merveille de restitution sonore (sans parler des spécifications techniques audiophiles ahurissantes). Associé en amont à des fichiers FLAC haute résolution décodés par JPLAY Femto & Audirvana Studio, et en aval à un casque Audeze LCD-XC relié par un câble Arctic ‘Grandis’ XLR dont j’ai eu la primeur, je touche, je tutoie, j’entends ! le Graal ‘Son’.
Alors pourquoi cette étoile en moins ? Parce que les concepteurs audiophile de l’Empire du Milieu ont tutoyé le pire du pire avec des connecteurs casque en façade totalement incongrus et indignes de présence avec en prime un système de verrouillage aberrant.
Le connecteur jack se retire très difficilement malgré le déverrouillage poussé à fond. Mais que dire du connecteur XLR 4 broches, impossible à enficher normalement. J’ai dû forcer comme un malade pour faire pénétrer les 4 fiches mâles de quelques millimètres dans les fiches femelles, mais il restera définitivement encore un bon cm à l’extérieur. D’après ce que j’entends... le ‘contact’ est établi, mais pour du ‘high-end’ peux mieux faire. Mon interlocuteur chez Arctic m’a confirmé qu’Audio-GD persiste et signe avec ces connecteurs (Neutrik pour ne pas les nommer) low-cost qui ‘fonctionnent en douceur’ avec leurs homologues, mais bloquent avec les ‘high-end’ du style Furutech ou CuTECH en ce qui me concerne. Délirant.
Quand on veut jouer dans la cours des ‘grands à 5 chiffres’, on se donne à 100% et on ne ‘mégote’ pas sur le dernier %.

Connecteur imposant
Grande qualité pour ce câble au connecteur Bals imposant. Ce connecteur mural est bien long, environ 10 cm plus une relative rigidité du câble vu son blindage, il lui faut donc de la place, difficile à placer derrière un meuble. C'est le seul reproche que je lui fais...

Super Multiprises
Distributeur de grande qualité de fabrication, juste un peu encombrant mais tellement pratique avec les 8 prises, dont 6 filtrées, dédiées à mon ensemble musical. il me semble que la musique a gagnée en clarté. C'est un bon investissement.

Des intras étonnant si on sait les apprivoiser
Je suis très heureuse de mon choix mais je dois avouer qu'il m'a fallu un peu de temps pour en arriver à cette conclusion et donc les "apprivoiser". En effet, il faut impérativement trouver les bons embouts (n'hésitez pas à tester en premier lieu ceux fournis). Sans cela, vous risquez d'être déçu et cela serait vraiment dommage tant ils sont qualitatifs et tant le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Je n'ai donc enlevé une étoile que pour la raison évoquée ci-dessus.

Super casque mais pas le plus confortable
Globalement très content de mon achat.

La sonorité est très agréable même si le côté étriqué des voix m'a d'abord un peu rebuté comparé à mon Sennheiser HD660S qui lui est ouvert. Par contre le timbre des voix est particulièrement agréable !

Niveau esthétique je le trouve vraiment très beau.

Par contre le confort est loin d'être parfait. Rien à dire du côté de l'arceau et du système de réglage automatique mais j'ai beau avoir une petite tête, mes oreilles touchent en permanence à cause d'une profondeur trop faible des coussinets ce qui rend l'utilisation du casque douloureuse après quelque temps.

J'ai l'impression que je m'y suis un peu habitué mais j'ai quand même commandé des coussinets plus épais en espérant que le son et l'esthétique ne soient pas trop dénaturés.

il suono mi appare più brillante sulle medie alte frequenze, (forse un pò troppo) ma pulito e trasparente. Le basse frequenze presenti e ben smorzate. Percepisco un piccolo miglioramento, per un costo abbordabile.

Sostituiscono gli : NE5534AN, risultano più stabili, meno rumorosi e con una distorsione minore di 4 dBv.

Marche bien mais on doit comprendre qu' on peut pas connecter HDMI Out avec son DAC si on voudrait utiliser I2S. À la place, on doit utiliser IIS Out. C'est aussi HDMI. Le nom est un peu trompeur. Pourquoi pas le qualifier I2S Out?

Parfait. Ce câble secteur a très avantageusement remplacé les câbles basiques d'origine livrés abec les blocs NCore mono 250.

Je l'ai comparé à un autre câble DIY à 7 fois le prix: la différence existe mais on est dans l'épaisseur du trait.

great mod for every high resolution system
The heart of my System is a "ANK 5.1 signature" tube DAC. I use the "Audio Magic Premiere Ultimate" fuse already. Yesterday I changed the series inlet against the furutech one. It was more the obvious, that this inlet can be a real bottleneck for the whole system. After modification, you have more of evereything. More room, higher resolution, deeper bass, etc.

Très qualitatif. L'ensemble fait "sérieux". Fait parfaitement son travail.

Qualité médiocre
Il est urgent de faire remonter à la marque que les vis sont d'une qualité MÉDIOCRE. Quelle galère parfois pour visser les câbles ! L'entaille est une fois sur deux mal réalisée ou en partie seulement.

Qualité plus que moyenne effectivement, connexions phase et neutre indignes de qualité et laissant vraiment à désirer. Et en ce qui me concerne, obligé d’enlever 5 mm sur le couronne extérieure, la prise mâle qui lui était destinée venant en butée et donc ne tenant pas. Quant à l'amélioration sonore ??? Ceci dit il n’y a pas pléthore de prises Schuko femelles (en dehors des prises murales) contrairement à ses homologues mâles.

japanese do very well their hobby... i do not know how many of them in that little capsule but i am sure one day we will have a paint-me-a-landscape version of it...gives the needed transparency and removes electrical pollution, even aside of the hifi system (would recommend to put one in the power block socket and one in a socket amongst the circuitry of your living space for enhanced comfort)...

Dac U-sabre
Fonctionne correctement.Par contre, impossible de faire fonctionner ce DAC avec les pilotes ASIO, tout est haché, j'ai du laisser les pilotes windows.
