Furutech introduces the CF-102 NCF high-end RCA connector. This is Furutech's first high-performance signal connector to feature the Nano Crystal² (NCF) formula. This material is the cumulative result of more than 30 years of Furutech's efforts to eliminate electrical and mechanical resonance from signal and power transmission in audio and video applications.

OCC Copper NCF Central conductor

The center conductor of the connector is made of Alpha (α) treated OCC copper, Rhodium plated and injected with Furutech's NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula) material, which has two active properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. Second, it converts thermal energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this material with ceramic particles and carbon powder for their piezoelectric damping properties. The resulting NCF formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material.

Cryogenic process

Using state-of-the-art technology and materials, Furutech has developed a two-step, ultra-low temperature process that significantly improves every facet of transmission performance. The treatment begins during the manufacturing process with deep cryogenic freezing of all metal parts. Using efficient refrigerants, Furutech reaches temperatures between -196 and -250°C. At these temperatures, the treated parts change their molecular structure, thus relieving internal stresses. This improves electrical conductivity and thus power and signal transfer.

The second step of the Alpha process exposes these same parts to the brand's patented demagnetization treatment. The high-powered magnets used for this purpose often increase the magnetic effects, leaving some areas more magnetized than others. This patented process uses controlled attenuation to eliminate the magnetization. Thus, demagnetization further improves the conductivity of the treated materials.
