DYNAVOX Stroboscopic Disc

This alignment tool allows you to fine-tune the speed of your turntable.

Suitable for 33, 45 and 78 turntables (50Hz / 60Hz).

Using the Strobe Disk:
To adjust the speed of your deck, place the product on the plate with the strobe side (1) facing upwards.

For lighting, use a light source of 50Hz (in Europe) or a light source with 60Hz
(in the USA). Make sure the disc is not exposed to direct sunlight!
This can seriously compromise the playback of the disc or make it impossible.

You can adjust three speeds (33 1/3, 45, 78 U / min.). To do this, use the external ring for a mains voltage of 50Hz (Europe) or the inner ring for a voltage of 60 Hz (United States). The two rings are divided into three different drive options. 33 1/3, 45, 78 (from outside toinside). Turn on the deck and wait until the plate has reached its final speed.
Then consider the line on the scale, which corresponds to the set speed of your deck. If you feel that it will change, you must adapt it (to do so, follow the instructions in your deck's manual).

Move the lines clockwise so that the speed is very fast. Move them in the opposite direction, to reduce the speed. If the different lines are in this position, the speed has been set correctly. Using the Sound Playback Adjustment Template: To adjust your sound player, place the product with the side of the adjustment template (2) on the plate of the deck with the strobe side (2) facing up .

Check that the sound player has been adjusted correctly using the inside template (66.04 mm). The position of the end of the needle should correspond to the crossed marking of the scale. The ladder lines must also move parallel to the outer edges of the sound player. If this is not the case, adjust the scanning system accordingly.
If this ist, move the tone arm to the outer template (120.9 mm). This is used for the post control and must correspond to the previous parameters of the internal scale.
Negligible deviations are tolerable at this level.
