The MiniDSP 2X4HD interface is a processor for digital filtering. It uses a 24 bit / 192khz DAC (digital / analog converter) & asynchronous USB Audio Class 2.0 input. Like many other miniDSP devices, 2x4 provides powerful, accessible tools to implement a digital filter (IIR Butterworth / Linkwitz Riley 6 to 48dB) and a parametric equalizer. It will suit audiophiles who want to set an effective correction on a pair of stereo speaker. The device can also be used to manage multiple subwoofers in a home theater setup.

In addition to its digital input, the 2x4 in miniDSP has a stereo analog input on RCA connector for connecting another Hi-Fi device with analog output. Such as a turntable via a RIAA box, or any other analog source. It is a great accessory to centralize the whole installation on a single pair of speakers, while enjoying a correction / filter that extends to the entire chain.
