With the K7, FiiO unveils a compact, high-performance headphone amplifier based on a high-quality technical design and high-end components. Within a completely balanced circuit, two THX AAA-788+ amplifier chips and a AK4493S dual DAC guarantee a powerful, dynamic and accurate sound.
The FiiO K7 benefits from a fully balanced architecture with a 6-stage audio circuit. A design that allows it to considerably reduce crosstalk and to offer a pure and precise sound reproduction.
The heart of the FiiO K7, its amplifier stage, embeds two THX AAA-788+ chips, allowing it to develop an important power of 2x560mW under 300Ω or 2x2000mW under 32Ω. The amplifier is thus capable of accompanying both high impedance headphones and more sensitive headphones, while offering great musicality.
The digital/analog conversion stage is equipped with two AKM AK4493SEQ DAC chips, each responsible for decoding one channel. A powerful DAC, ensuring a quality, dynamic and musical sound reproduction.
The USB input of the FiiO K7 uses an XMOS XUF208 interface chip with dual clock management. This allows for fast and accurate decoding of USB signals. Furthermore, this chip supports high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 384kHz and DSD256.
The volume knob of the FiiO K7 is surrounded by an attractive circular RGB LED indicator. In addition to giving the device an aesthetic touch, it also provides information about the sampling rate of the audio stream being played.
The power supply circuit of the FiiO K7 consists of several independent stages, each regulated by low-noise LDOs. Thus optimized, it provides a clean electrical signal to all the audio circuits of the amplifier.
In addition to its high power and for even more versatility, the K7 offers two levels of gain, low and high, to adapt to the vast majority of headphones.
The K7 is clad in a precision CNC machined aluminum chassis. It effectively protects the circuits and components of the device while giving it a sober but elegant and modern aesthetic.
The front panel of the FiiO K7 features a large volume knob. Thanks to an ADC curve reconstruction, it is able to perform a precise volume control over 112 steps, without adding noise.
