The SMPS2000RxE switched-mode power supply is a very high efficiency model capable of developing a nominal power of 2000 Watts in an extremely small footprint.
This power supply is capable of delivering 2000W continuous power and up to 2600W peak power.
The delivered version is a +/- 84 V.
The main feature of this power supply is the absence of heat sinks for both power switches and rectifier diodes.
The amount of EMI is less than any conventional power supply, and could be compared to a linear regulated power supply.
Its small size and considerably reduced weight allow the SMPS2000RxE to be installed almost anywhere.
The SMPS2000RxE incorporates overcurrent protection that limits the output current to about 130% of the maximum peak power, or about 2600W.
This power supply is suitable for both class AB and class D / T amplifiers.
Meaning of the terms R, RE, RS and RXE on SMPS power supplies :
QR, R: SINGLE or DUAL power supplies with classic LLC resonance filter for class A/B or D amplifiers, the SMPS R are characterized by their price-performance ratio.
RE: SMPS power supplies with differential and multi-voltage resonant filter outputs with LLC filter with low noise EMI filter (with CLC filter at low ripple output) for high-end amplifiers in class A/B or D/T. Advantageously replaces conventional linear power supplies.
RS: SMPS power supplies close to the RE but with "Single Rail Output" resonant filter with LLC filter with low-noise EMI filter (with CLC filter at low ripple output) for high-end amplifiers in class A/B or D/T amplifiers. Advantageously replaces conventional linear power supplies.
RXE: The high-end SMPS 600, 800W and 2000W featuring the latest generation LLC resonant filters (with CLC filter at low ripple output) with high-end FET transistors. Specially recommended for high-end class D amplifiers (IRS2092, HYPEX, CXD). May also be suitable for classic class A/B amplifiers.
