This SMPS MP-H250S24 switch-mode power supply module is capable of delivering 24V, 10A current and 250W of power. Made from high-quality components, the module is mounted directly on a heat sink, which is itself insulated by a layer of plastic. It accepts a wide input voltage range from 176V to 264V AC. The MP-H250S24 is also equipped with a PFC (Power Factor Correction), which enables it to deliver constant voltage and current extremely reliably, with an efficiency rate of over 90%. If required, a variable resistor can be used to adjust the output voltage from 23V to 25.5V, in addition, the output terminal block has been doubled, enabling two different modules to be powered at the same time. Naturally, this module is equipped with all the necessary protection features, such as overtemperature, overcurrent and overvoltage protection. It is an excellent choice for powering components within a DIY project, for example, an amplifier stage with a chip requiring 24V.
Please note: when powering 2 different modules, the MP-H250S24 will deliver 2x24V voltage, but the current will be shared between the two powered modules, for a maximum total of 10A.
The MP-H250S24 switching power supply features an active PFC (Power Factor Correction) with Mosfet transistor. The PFC enables a first switching step to obtain a continuous, non-out-of-phase current at the power supply input. This has two advantages: first, the power supply's efficiency becomes optimum, with a rate of over 90%, and second, the announced power values will remain as they are, whatever the input voltage to the PFC. For example, this power supply will deliver 250W whether the input voltage is 176V or 264V.
