SMPS300RE Switching Mode Power Supply Module 300W +/-48V

The SMPS300RE switch mode power supply is a very high efficiency model capable of delivering 300 Watts of rated power in an extremely small footprint. This power supply is capable of delivering 300W of continuous power and up to 400W peak.

The version delivered is a +/-48V.

The main feature of this power supply is the absence of heat sinks for both the power switches and the rectifier diodes. The amount of EMI is less than any conventional power supply, and could be compared to a linear regulated power supply.

Its small size and considerably reduced weight allow the SMPS300RE to be installed anywhere. The SMPS300RE incorporates overcurrent protection that limits the output current to approximately 130% of the maximum peak power, or about 400W. This power supply is suitable for both Class AB and Class D/T amplifiers. Target applications for this power supply include SAP15 amplifiers or Hypex UCD180 modules.

Meaning of R, RE, RS and RXE on SMPS power supplies:

QR, R : SINGLE or DUAL power supplies with classic LLC resonance filter for class A/B or D amplifiers, the SMPS R are characterized by their price/performance ratio.

RE : SMPS power supplies with differential and multiple voltage resonant filter outputs featuring a low noise EMI filter (with CLC filter on low ripple output) for high end class A/B or D/T amplifiers. It is a good alternative to conventional linear power supplies (usually suitable for TA2022, TDA8920, TDA8950, IRS2092 amplifiers).

RS : SMPS power supplies similar to RE but with "Single Rail Output" with resonant filter including LLC filter with low noise EMI filter (with CLC filter in low ripple output) for high end amplifiers in class A/B or D/T. It is a good replacement for conventional linear power supplies.

RXE : The top of the line SMPS 600, 800W and 2000W featuring the latest generation of LLC resonant filters (with low ripple output CLC filter) with high end FET transistors. Especially recommended for high end class D amplifiers (IRS2092, HYPEX, CXD). Can also be used for classic class A/B amplifiers.
