This board controls amplifier ignition. It provides stand-by, soft-start, timer and thermal protection functions. It also limits the current draw through the power supply capacitors and transformer during switch-on.
The module connects directly to the 220V input. If no load is connected, you may find 220V at the output (capacitor in series). When you activate the softstart, it powers your amplifier through the thermistors. After a second, the relay engages and connects the output directly to 220V.
This board does not suppress ignition "pop". In this situation, an HP timer card is required.
