Kiwi Ears Quartet are in-ear monitors featuring four drivers: two dynamic drivers for bass and two custom Balanced Armature drivers for midrange and treble. These IEMs deliver powerful bass and precise, detailed midrange and high frequencies.
Kiwi Ears Quartet: Powerful bass
Kiwi Ears Quartet IEMs have been designed around the brand's new drivers. The earphones' innovative design features two 10mm titanium diaphragm drivers, each independently powered by dual magnetic circuits. The pair of drivers has been passively aligned to be phase-synchronized and prevent sound wave cancellation. This new design delivers powerful, punchy bass.
Kiwi Ears Quartet: A harmonious balance
Although the Kiwi Ears Quartet are bass-focused headphones, the brand has still sought to achieve a natural tonal balance, providing textured, powerful bass that doesn't drool over the mids and highs. The dynamic drivers have been passively low-pass filtered at 350Hz to deliver thick, rich bass, while the midrange from 350Hz to 1kHz has been tuned to be perfectly linear. The result is precise midrange reproduction, with a hint of warmth in the lower midrange.
Kiwi Ears Quartet: Custom Balanced Armature drivers
Kiwi Ears Quartet are also equipped with two custom Balanced Armature drivers for midrange and high frequencies. These have been modified to match the balance of the new dynamic drivers, thanks to an adapted venting system that allows better air circulation. In keeping with Kiwi Ears tradition, the Balanced Armature drivers are passively adjusted to match the target midrange and treble curve. In this way, the Quartet ensures clean midrange and treble, without sounding dull or aggressive.
