With the Twilight, Softears presents top-of-the-range dynamic in-ear earphones whose lightweight, high comfort fit is only equalled by the quality of their sound reproduction. They have benefited from intensive research and development work to perfect a dynamic driver and associated acoustic cavity offering the most striking sound possible.
Softears Twilight : Ultra-lightweight aluminium body
The Twilight's body is made from an aeronautical-grade aluminium alloy that is both strong and light. The latter is the result of high-precision 5-axis CNC machining and undergoes an anodic oxidation post-treatment. What emerges are classy earphones that weigh in at an incredibly low 6g, making them a pleasure to wear.
Softears Twilight : Tailor-made dynamic driver
The Twilight is based on a dynamic driver specially designed by Softears for this project. This uses a 10mm diameter DLC (Diamon-Like Carbon) cone coupled to a polyurethane free edge suspension. Once paired with the 0.035mm Daikoku voice coil, the result is a rich sound reproduction with a wide frequency response.
Softears Twilight : Perfectly adapted acoustic cavity
Considerable research and development work went into the Twilight acoustic cavity. This cavity, tailor-made to match the driver used, improves the dynamic range of the earphones while favouring low frequencies. Furthermore, viscoelastic damping materials and diffusion plates are integrated into the cavity, eliminating undesirable resonances for finer resolution of sound reproduction.
Softears Twilight : Quality cable
The Twilight comes with accessories to match its quality. The cable supplied is made from OFC 6N copper for optimum conductivity, and has gold-plated CIEM and 3.5 mm jack connectors to guarantee unfailing protection against oxidation and corrosion.
