Gustard's S26 is a streamer designed to deliver exceptional audio performance thanks to the meticulous optimisation of each of its components. In fact, everything from the cooling system to the choice of hardware components and the power supply circuit has been designed to ensure smooth operation while reducing noise and jitter in the output signal as much as possible.
The S26 is powered by a Ryzen 5 5600U. This powerful processor is based on the Zen 3 architecture, with 6 cores and 12 threads clocked at 2.3GHz and capable of going up to 4.2GHz in turbo mode, enabling the S26 to be fluid in all circumstances, ensuring unrivalled user comfort.
In order to offer cooling that generates no noise and creates no interference, Gustard has chosen a watercooling system transported by copper pipes. This system provides a high level of heat dissipation while avoiding the interference and mechanical vibrations that a fan would create.
To store your favourite tracks in the best possible quality, the S26 is equipped with a 1TB NVMe SSD, giving you instant access to them thanks to the speed of this technology's roaming transmission, as well as the DDR4 RAM it's equipped with. Furthermore, if you wish for more storage, you can add up to 4TB of PCIe 3.0 SSD NVMe memory (SSD sold separately).
The S26's power supply is based on a 120VA OFC copper transformer. The current then passes through a double bridge rectifier capable of generating up to 800V in direct current with a capacity of 25A. Furthermore, the inrush current capacity of 400A guarantees the efficiency and reliability of the system. 40800µF capacitors then stabilise the power supply to provide the device with a continuous energy supply without interference.
The power supply to the various modules that make up the S26 is then provided via multiple independent circuits, each equipped with a low voltage drop regulator, ensuring a clean power supply whose noise never exceeds 5µV.
To guarantee perfect synchronisation of your signal, the S26 adjusts the output frequency from a single clock signal. This same clock signal governs the PCIe, network and USB connections, ensuring overall consistency and optimum stability.
The GCLK-02 clock module adopts a phase-locked loop capable of maintaining exceptional accuracy with 1Hz lock, ensuring ultra-precise clock signal management. Furthermore, for even greater accuracy, you can connect an external 10MHz clock via the 50Ω impedance BNC input.
The Gustard S26 supports Roon Core as well as UPnP Servers, so it can be integrated into a wide range of installations. Furthermore, the device is compatible with Spotify Connect, Apple Airplay and QQ Music.
