Rose HiFi RS151: Digital Processing Core
The RS151 benefits from the ROSE DPC (Digital Processing Core) module. This module, which is applied to the digital stage, minimises jitter and improves signal quality by precisely synchronising the input signals with a high-precision femto clock and aligning them as an I2S signal. The signal processing carried out by this module is completely isolated from the device's other functions, eliminating potential distortion and interference for a smooth, natural result that is compatible with a wide range of digital formats.
Rose HiFi RS151: DAC ES9039PRO
For digital/analogue conversion, the Rose RS151 is equipped with an ES9039PRO DAC. Featuring 4th generation Hyperstream® technology, this chip combines with a high-precision Femto clock to radically eliminate jitter. What's more, it further improves linearity during the digital-to-analogue conversion process, delivering clean, distortion-free sound with improved synchronisation accuracy and precise reproduction of the finest details of your favourite tracks.
The digital and analogue signal paths are physically and completely separate, ensuring that each circuit operates independently. This design prevents the influence of noise and jitter generated in the digital circuit, offering a furthermore high level of clarity and accuracy without interference or distortion between channels.
The ES9039PRO features an independent processing design, ensuring that all 8 channels operate independently in their own dedicated circuits. This results in exceptional channel separation, accurate stereo imaging, an expanded soundstage and outstanding spatiality.
Rose HiFi RS151: NRA filter
The RS151's analogue stage features the ROSE NRA (Noise Reduction Analog) filter, designed to eliminate noise and provide a flat frequency response, even in the extremely low frequency ranges. Thanks to this innovation, the RS151 boasts a fixed frequency response over the entire range without decay, faithfully and clearly reproducing the original sound information embedded in high-resolution audio sources.
Rose HiFi RS151: Advanced design
The RS151 incorporates a variety of technological innovations and high-quality components to improve the quality of sound reproduction. In the DAC stage, the I/V conversion circuit and the OP-AMP stage, high-precision MELF resistors and audiophile-grade WIMA film capacitors are used to improve linearity during signal processing and minimise distortion. In addition, the bias voltage of the OPA is precisely controlled, resulting in a more refined and natural sound.
The single earth point design minimises ground loops and eliminates noise interference, improving signal quality. Around the power supply, decoupling capacitors with low ESR and high ripple current capability are placed to effectively filter high-frequency noise and enhance power supply stability. Thanks to this sophisticated design, the RS151 achieves remarkable measurement values with a signal-to-noise ratio of 131.4 dB and a THD+N of just 0.0002%.
Rose HiFi RS151: RK3588 processor
Equipped with a new-generation RK3588 8-core processor, the RS151 offers four times the data processing performance and eight times the graphics performance of its predecessor. DRAM capacity has been doubled from 4GB to 8GB, while eMMC storage has been extended from 8GB to 32GB, offering furthermore twice the processing speed. This enables smooth playback of large audio files and high-resolution 4K video with HDR.
In addition, improved input and output bus performance delivers read/write speeds around twice as fast as before, enabling faster file transfers and shorter response times when playing music, for a smoother listening experience. The new integrated version of Android 12 further enhances usability and security, providing an intuitive and stable user experience.
Rose HiFi RS151: 15.4-inch screen
The RS151 features HiFi ROSE's signature wide-angle display. Upgraded from 14.9‘ to 15.4’ and from HD to Full HD compared to its predecessor, the screen offers a generous size and superior resolution, reproducing album art and videos in stunning high quality. The intuitive touch panel is exceptionally easy to use, while the high resolution and wide colour gamut ensure a detailed and vivid visual representation.
Rose HiFi RS151: DSD upsampling
The RS151 offers the ability to convert PCM audio to DSD and expand it up to a maximum of DSD512 using the ROSE DPC module. This allows users to enjoy a variety of PCM audio sources with the unique sonic characteristics of DSD. High-resolution upsampling preserves the fine detail of the original source while enriching the sound with unparalleled depth and clarity.
Rose HiFi RS151: Linear power supply
The RS151 incorporates a linear power supply developed in-house and designed with high-capacitance capacitors and ultra-low-noise power supply chipsets to minimise interference. By physically separating the power supply from the digital stage, interference from electrical noise is avoided, resulting in distortion-free playback and significantly improved sound quality.
Rose HiFi RS151: Anti-vibration chassis
The RS151 chassis is built from 30mm thick aluminium plate, then CNC machined to ensure efficient heat dissipation, even during prolonged use. The design aims to minimise the number of joints in the housing, improving the rigidity of the whole and limiting micro-vibrations that could affect the quality of reproduction.
Rose HiFi RS151 Extended compatibility
To become the nerve centre of your HiFi system, the RS151 is compatible with the AirPlay and DLNA network protocols and allows you to connect to it via WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the RS151 is Roon Ready and Play with Audirvāna certified, and is compatible with a large number of applications such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Qobuz.
Rose HiFi RS151 : ROSE Audio Engine
The RoseAudioServer solution developed by the brand includes several signal processing technologies working together to give you the most faithful final rendition possible of the original performance.
- Audio Streamer Reader : The Audio Streamer Reader uses cache technology developed by HiFi ROSE to process digital input signals using system interrupt, network jitter and base clock without distortion.
- Audio Decoder : The audio decoder can process different types of audio sources and codecs to extract DSD and PCM data. In the case of a sound source using a lossy codec, it decodes to 32-bit floating PCM to minimise distortion.
- Audio Process : The Audio Process supports bit-perfect transmission, and conditions and delivers audio data in a transmission format optimised for the DAC being used. It can support full MQA decoding and native DSD, and provides an advanced hi-fi audio environment using various post-processing modules developed by HiFi ROSE.
