A very high quality stereo DAC
The RS250A's digital-to-analog conversion stage is equipped with a high-performance ESS ES9028Pro DAC, ensuring low noise and distortion for detailed, accurate, and rich sound reproduction. It also supports high-resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 as well as MQA.
A high performance linear power supply
The linear power supply used by the RS250A provides a clean and stable electrical signal to all the audio circuits and the processor, which is essential for achieving excellent sound quality. The power supply is shielded to greatly reduce the impact of interference on the signal and therefore the noise that could be transmitted to other circuits.
A massive frame
The RS250A chassis is made of high-purity anodized aluminum and meticulously machined. It effectively protects the components, limits the impact of vibrations that could alter the sound quality, while giving the unit a modern and elegant aesthetic.
MQA decoder
The RS250A incorporates an MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) decoder, which allows you to play back this type of file and enjoy sound quality as close as possible to the original studio recording. In addition, MQA streams are light enough to stream.
4K Ultra HD video playback
With the RS250A, you can enjoy your videos stored on a storage device or streamed from services such as RoseTube, Tidal Video or Bugs, thanks to an HDMI output supporting Ultra HD 4K streams.
A beautiful touch screen and intuitive controls
The front panel of the RS250A is dressed with a beautiful and large 8.8" high resolution IPS touch screen. This one offers an intuitive and practical interface, displaying all the playback information or the album covers. Moreover, this screen can read 60FPS video streams.
Rose Connect Application & Bluetooth Remote Control
Rose offers its own Rose Connect control app, available for free on Android and iOS. It allows you to access your music and videos locally and on your network, via an optimized interface supporting many platforms and streaming services.
The RS250A also comes with a Bluetooth remote control, allowing you to control it from your chair.
Innovative Rose OS system
The RS250A uses a custom Android 7.1 operating system, specially developed by Rose to provide a convenient and innovative playback environment. In addition to high-quality playback and streaming, it offers many services, including 4K video playback, access to YouTube, podcasts, numerous radio stations, and CD playback and ripping (requires a suitable device, not included).
Music & Video
The RS250A allows you to play music and video from a storage device such as a USB or SSD. It is also possible to access files stored on your network, from a NAS for example. Your songs can then be sorted according to many filters.
Tidal
Enjoy audio and video streaming with Tidal's unique features. The app also supports MQA decoding for high-quality sound reproduction.
Roon Ready
The RS250A is also Roon Ready certified and fully compatible with Roon Core. So you can enjoy the high quality sound offered by the RS250A, while using the powerful features of Roon.
CD
CD playback and ripping is possible by connecting a dedicated CD player (not included) to the RS250A via USB. You can then rip your music stored on CD to an SSD or USB storage device.
Radio & Rose Podcast
With the Rose RS250A, you can access as many as 9900 internet radio stations from around the world. Many podcast channels are also available via iTunes.
Rose Store
Many Rose OS services can be updated through the Rose Store.
Spotify Connect
With Spotify Connect, you can stream and control your music playback directly from your Spotify app.
Qobuz
The Qobuz streaming service provides access to a high resolution music catalog, up to 24bit 192kHz.
Extended connectivity
The RS250A offers an efficient streaming function. It supports AirPlay and DLNA transmission protocols. It is thus possible to connect to it from a smartphone, tablet or computer, whether it is WiFi, Ethernet or even Bluetooth.
Considerable storage space
The Rose RS250A is designed to provide sufficient storage space for high quality audio applications. It can recognize SSDs up to 4TB and HDDs up to 10TB. It also supports connections to a computer or NAS.
