At the heart of the GT2 NCF is an NCF connector sleeve. With a hybrid multi-material construction, this innovative sleeve exploits a special crystalline NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula) material from Furutech with two ‘active’ properties: firstly, it eliminates static electricity by generating negative ions, and secondly, it converts thermal energy into far infrared. Furutech enhances this material with nanometric ceramic particles and carbon powder, taking advantage of their piezoelectric damping properties.

Precision engineered, the GT2 NCF features silver-plated OCC α (Alpha) copper conductors and high-density polyethylene insulation for optimum signal transmission. Its triple shielding and 24K gold-plated USB 2.0 connectors minimise electromagnetic interference and offer foolproof protection against oxidation.

Furutech GT2 NCF : Alpha α treatment

The conductors that make up the GT2 NCF cable benefit from a two-stage Alpha cryogenics and demagnetisation process. Firstly, the conductors undergo deep cryogenic freezing using top-of-the-range refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen or helium. Once temperatures of between -196 and -250C° are reached, the conductors are subjected to internal stress, forcing the molecules that make them up into tighter bonds, resulting in a more stable overall structure and improved conductivity. In a second stage, the conductors are exposed to a ring demagnetisation treatment patented by the brand.
