This male XLR connector manufactured by Neutrik has three poles (gold plated pins).

It takes advantage of the IP67 certification including resistance to water, dust, corrosion and mechanical shock. This allows it to operate safely outdoors - provided of course that all the cable is made up of components that meet the same specification.

The contacts are protected by a rubber cap that protects against falls and the uprooting of the different parts of the cable.
