Je l'ai acheté ici il y a quelques mois. Incroyable. Rapport qualité prix bousculant beaucoup de references beaucoup, mais alors beaucoup plus cher. A acheter sans retenu.

It is an overall excellent device (SMSL AO300), well thought out with a wide range of connection options to the source and end components of the apparatus.
In terms of sound, I am satisfied with its clean, natural sound on both analog and digital connections. Speakers used are B&W CDM-1 + Dali SW-8; on the headphone output there is an excellent combination with 1MORE Triple Driver Over-Ear headphones (slight modification - removal of 2/3 layers of foam above the drivers).
I wanted (ordered) a black version, a version with a silver front panel arrived. . . :-)

Pour cette commande tout s'est bien passé et rapidement, et j'ai enfin pu écouter cet SMSL AO300. C'est tout simplement exceptionnel. J'avais déjà gouté un ampli numérique avec le V200 de I AM D (pas tout jeune, mais déjà très bon). Là je suis tombé dans une autre dimension d'écoute, impressionnant.
Le seul regret que l'on pourrait avoir, c'est au niveau de la documentation qui pourrait un peu expliquer les différents filtres et EQ. Si vous avez quelques écrits sur ce sujet, merci de les faire connaitre.
Encore bravo pour le produit et le service.

Excellent rapport qualité prix
L'AO300 n'est certes pas l'électronique la plus chantante que j'aie eu entre les mains. Le son est relativement froid et piquant, le haut du spectre n'est pas doux, les médiums paraissent clairement moins naturels et plus décharnés que mon système secondaire : gusrard r26 / aune s17 pro / topping la90d. Mais peut on attendre une telle performance d'une électronique qui coûte 10 fois moins cher ? Évidemment non, en tout cas pas pour l'instant ! Pour autant, les filtres du dsp sont très efficaces (l'égalisation fonctionne bien), les options sont nombreuses, cet appareil fait tout. A partir de là, pour le tarif, c'est un objet excellent.

Je suis très triste après avoir acheté cet équipement SMSL AO300, pour ce genre d'argent, vous ne pouvez pas écouter de la musique, comment pouvez-vous produire un équipement aussi mauvais pour écouter de la musique. SMSL honte à vos ingénieurs

Good sound but bad usability
I bought this DAC/Amp to power my ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2 speakers in a desktop setup. I assumed I wasn't going to need a lot of power and I was right: out of a maximum volume of 60 I usually set it 20-25, and I go up to 35 to make it loud. Sound quality is very good for me, clean and crisp, no audible background noise for me. Do note that I'm no audiophile, this is my first hi-fi setup.

I connected my computer using the USB-C port, having a USB DAC was one of the main points for me as I was using my integrated sound card until then. The provided cable is pretty short, about 1 meter, it was just enough to make the connection. I use Linux and it was recognized and configured automatically, I just had to choose the digital output profile instead of the default analog one.

I like the included EQs, especially SDB for rock/metal/electronic music and Clear for other genres.

My big complain with the SMSL AO300 is about the interface usability:

- When you use the dial to access the menu you have no way of going back to the main screen, have to wait a few seconds to adjust the volume. Even worse is that this happens even when using the remote, where you have dedicated volume buttons, but they don't work in the menu screen. You can press left in the remote to go back to the main screen, but it's one extra button press for no good reason.

- Output doesn't automatically switch to headphones when plugged, you need to manually change it through the menu. The remote has a button to change input, but not one to change output.

- The FN button in the remote only turns the screen on and off. The manual says "Define in the menu", but there's nothing in the menu to program its function, and nothing I've tried works. Maybe they forgot to code it? Very infuriating.

- A button in the remote to quickly change EQ would have been nice. If FN button could be programmed (see above) it would solve this for me.

- The remote up/down/left/right buttons do nothing in the main screen. They could've allowed mapping them to quick access to functions, e.g. to quickly change Output, EQ, Filter...

I believe these changes are not hard to implement, just a matter of having someone properly think about the end-user experience. For this reason I'm taking two stars in the hope that they release a firmware update to fix as many of these issues as they can. If they do I'd be happy to update my review to 5 stars if all issues get addressed.

Diabolique ce truc
Assis sur mon derrière, toutes mes références sont tombées. Je croyais que pour choisir un ampli, il fallait qu'il soit tres lourd et très cher. Ce truc de moins de 2 kilos, tout petit, enterre des amplis à 4 chiffres tranquille. Les idiophiles ont de quoi s'inquiéter les grands constructeurs aussi. Choisir des bons cables et une bonne source, ca ne pardonne rien.
