The extractor did its job. You don't have to spend a lot of money on fancy HDMI i2S cables, because it works on inexpensive, well-made cables. The extractor allows you to extract DSD files from SACDs (finally!). You can connect it directly to a Blu-ray HDD or SSD and listen to music saved in DSD without using a computer. The only limitation is that you can only play DSD64 files, the higher ones, at least for me, are played in 176kHz pcm. And the power supply is necessary, because supposedly power goes through HDMI, but there are problems. So the power supply is a must.
